Purpose:

Delegated Power being Exercised:
To grant a licence under contract standing order 23.4.

Subject of Decision:
The grant a licence to the trustees of the Beck Bottom Community Garden Group of land shown on the plan below for the purposes of gardening and generally maintaining the area.

Reason for Decision:
Allows a community group to undertake gardening within an attractive area to improve the amenity of the area; allow them to gain experience in gardening; allows the area to be maintained and looked after to a higher standard than what the Council, with limited budgets, could have done. Any planting of new flower beds or trees or path reinstatement to be carried out with the Council’s permission and to its satisfaction.

Request from Open Spaces Manager dated 29th July 2022 seeking authority.

Decision:

That a licence be granted to the trustees of the Beck Bottom Community Garden Group for the period 1st August 2022 to 31st July 2024 at an annual fee of one pound if demanded.
