Councillor Doug Wilson declared a personal interest in Application 4a (4/20/2165/0B1 – Haverigg III Wind Farm, Haverigg Airfield, Haverigg, Millom) and Application 4b (4/20/2166/0B1 – Haverigg II Wind Farm, Haverigg Airfield, Haverigg, Millom)due to having previously spoken on the applications.

Councillor Jackie Bowman declared a personal interest in Application 4c (4/20/2279/0O1 – West Cumberland Hospital. Homewood Road, Whitehaven)due to being a member of Copeland Disability Forum.

Consideration was given to the Minutes of the meeting held on 16 September 2020.

The planning applications were taken in the following order.

In respect of Application 4/20/2165/0B1, the application for variation of Condition 2 of Planning Permission 4/02/0505/0 to extend the lifespan of 4 wind turbines (Haverigg III) was presented by the Senior Planning Officer.

In respect of Application 4/20/2166/0B1, the application for variation of Condition 2 of Planning Permission 4/02/0553/0 to extend the lifespan of 4 wind turbines (Haverigg II) was also presented by the Senior Planning Officer.

During discussion of these items, the Applicant`s Agent, Naomi Heikalo (Arcus Consultancy) addressed the Panel in support of the applications.
