Minutes:

The outline application for a residential development with all matters reserved was presented by the Planning Officer.

 

During discussion of this item the Head of Planning and Place read out comments on behalf of Mrs Postlethwaite.

Mr E Taylor and Councillor P Argyle (on behalf of St Bees Parish Council) spoke in objection to the application.

 

The Applicant’s Agent, Mr S Blacker, then exercised his right to respond.

 

Following questions from Members, a vote was taken on the recommendation to approve in Outline, subject to the conditions shown in the agenda report.

 

Councillor Tom Higgins did not take part in the vote for this application.

 

The result of the vote was 4 For, 1 Against and 0 Abstentions.

 

RESOLVED – that the application be Approved in outline, subject to the conditions shown in the agenda report.

The application for approval of Reserved Matters relating to access, appearance, landscaping, layout and scale following outline planning approval 4/20/2491/0O1 – residential development was presented by the Planning Officer.

 

During discussion of this item Councillor P Argyle (on behalf of St Bees Parish Council) spoke in objection to the application.

 

The Applicant’s Agent, Mr S Blacker, then exercised his right to respond.

The Applicant’s Agent, Mr G Hale, then exercised his right to respond.

 

Following questions from Members, a recommendation was made by Councillor Graham Calvin for a site visit.

This was seconded by Councillor Linda Jones-Bulman.

 

A vote was taken and it was

 

RESOLVED – that the outline application be deferred for a site visit be undertaken to appraise all material planning considerations before determining the application.
